Bill: Smoking Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Progressive Conservative Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2707
Description[?]:
In order to promote the good health of our citizens, we must begin to strictly regulate the tobacco industries, which have been proven to be harmful to one's health, although some may speculate otherwise. We propose more regulation on tobacco to discourage people from buying it. It will still be available, but it will be regulated to be sold in certain locations and in certain quantities. To the MVA: We realize your statement on tobacco, and its lack of effects on you. However, if we are to look ahead and predict the future of this country, we must be able to take the appropriate steps in order to make sure that our citizens can live a good and healthy lifestyle. |
Proposals

Message | We find this proposal reasonable, as it aims to protect children and reduce the adverse health consequences of tobacco smoking rather than going down the illiberal route of forcing independent establishments to ban smoking within their premises altogether.
