Bill: Change to Religion:

Details

Submitted by[?]: United Workers

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2706

Description[?]:

With regard to the second article,
The POL has understood that this law will create a minister for the religion in each state, and the people will have to report their work to the central government. We have no intention of stopping religions from choosing their own ministers, as this is the choice of the religion.

We believe that an official state religion will help the nation as they will be for the nation and all it's people, giving the nation donations etc which it recieves, and putting them into the morally right part of society that needs them. This is why there is not a policy making mebership mandatory.

MessageWe are not too sure about the first proposal. We believe that it is neccessary for all foreign missionaries to register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs because we must have a record of their comings and goings. We can also stop any extremist missionaries from practising in our nation, although it is unlikely that any of them would go through the process of registering with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, if they are found to be preaching then we can kick them out for not having registered. In short we heartfully encourage foreign missionaries but believe that there must be controls and regulations on their comings and goings; therefore they must register when entering or leaving the nation.
As for the Second proposal we believe that this is fair as long as the religious communities can also nominate people to run for religious positions.
With regard to the third if it were to be passed then we would have to have a vote to see what our official state religion would be.

MessageYes, thank you for the positive feedback.
I will be very happy to put the state religion up to vote as this is a neccesary part of society.
Ihave also removed Article 1, which has been shown to have the least support

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with.

Random quote: “Under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule - and both commonly succeed, and are right.” --H.L. Mencken
