Details
Submitted by[?]: Rutanian Elitist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2707
Description[?]:
The Republican Elitist Party strongly believes that the role of every punishment is re-education and re-socialization. The REP is aware of the fact that terrorism for instance, is one of the most awful crimes possible, but the party believes that the state should not fight it with the same methods as terrorists would do. Besides death penalty is an extremely anti-human treatment. The REP, thereby, proposes the abolishment of the penalty. Other well-applied punishments would enable the same efficiency in fighting crimes, so this measure would not lead to the increase of criminality rate. Eleanor Bozarburg, Judicial Advisor, REP |

Message | The NEP are undecided on this issue. We do feel that the REP raises good points, but we also feel that some crimes deserve death. |
Date | 21:05:54, February 04, 2009 CET | From | Rutanian Elitist Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty Bill 2706 |
Message | We think that nobody deserves death...and nobody can cause death... We know that terrorists cause death, but we cannot act according to dear principles... WE believe that the "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" principle is not a moral one. |
Date | 23:33:14, February 04, 2009 CET | From | Imperium Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty Bill 2706 |
Message | The death penalty should always remain as a use to end life. Espicially towards serious criminals and enemies of the state. Abraham James Zoratatt Prime Minister |
Date | 16:11:06, February 05, 2009 CET | From | Rutanian Restoration Party | To | Debating the Death Penalty Bill 2706 |
Message | The Orange Party supports the Imperium Party on this topic. We believe such crimes can only end in death. We would not support furthering the death penalty, however. Thomas Wenzeslaus, Speaker, Orange Party |
