Message | Against, we believe in protectionism, however CNP will most probably abstain because in reality this means nothing.... |

Message | We should protect our workers from concurrence they can't resist, but we think that if an addition would be made to the agreement that will guarantee this we'll have to agree with it (yes, even us crazy socialist nutcases who only want to ruin the country.) PS. ofcourse that's the same for Lodamun workers |

Message | Protecting workers from "concurrence" is extremely myopic and destructive. The long run benefits to our efficiency, competitiveness and economic well-being are enormous. Instead of spending our resources resisting change and keeping Cildania in relative dark ages, why not embrace the short-term creative destruction that is free trade? If you're so worried about the workers, you should be spending resources on retraining them to related fields where Cildania would hold the comparative advantage. Not only would that keep workers employed, but keep them competitive and far more able to adapt to inevitable changes in the future. I'll point out here that Cildania currently has free trade as policy, with no tariffs and minimum border controls on all neutral nations such as Lodamun. Entering this agreement only serves to open up Lodamun's side of the trade, increasing our exports and making Cildania more prosperous. Free trade and foreign competition has always been present in Cildania. These treaties simply obligate the foreign nation to reciprocate our free policies. Great for Cildania, so the more of these free trade treaties we can sign, the better. |

Message | Ok, we are satisfied with JLC's explanation, although we favor protectionism, we realize that is unfortunately not changeable for some time, we will abstain. |
