A central bank is a good tool to help stimulate or control the economy, for instance in case of rapid inflation or deflation. While not a perfect remedy of fiscal problems, it can at least act as a medium between the government and the market. However, involvement should be kept at a low level; only when needed to avoid an economical crisis. |
