Message | This bill is in response to what we feel is a growing problem in our nation: The open holes in our Republic that makes it easy for terrorists to attack our nation at their will. I believe that this preliminary bill is a good first step to close these holes, and I believe these new laws will strengthen our community while promoting patriotism and nationalism. |

Message | The REP is sceptical about this bill, but some of its parts are highly acceptable. We will decide later if we support this proposal or not. Victoria von Bruckenthal REP |

Message | We oppose this legislation for a few seperate reasons: Firstly, we oppose article 1 because we believe it is vital to the cultural unity and social harmony of Rutania that immigration quotas are based on nationality. Certain cultural, ethnic or religious groups are more easily integrated into our society than others, and our immigration quotas need to reflect this - we do not subscribe to the fallacy of multiculturalism. Although the proposed article is certainly preferable to the current alternative, we cannot vote in favour on principal. We are fairly impartial to article 2 - we would prefer that this issue be deferred to local governments, as this may be a slight over-reach of federal government authority, but we may be able to support this article outside of the context of this legislation. We oppose article 3 simply because we do not believe it takes the matter far enough. Again, it is a marked improvement upon current legislation regarding illegal aliens, but it is still unsatisfactory to us - the government should actively search for illegal aliens and deport them. Illegal immigrants undermine our job markets and wages, put an unnecessary strain on tax-payers and welfare, and do not integrate into our society and culture, causing social disharmony, cultural fragmentation, and racial tension. Furthermore, they often bring their poverty and crime with them. Their presence here is a criminal act in itself, and should be treated as such. |

Message | We would like to add that, whilst we do not support this legislation, we will abstain from voting rather than voting against it, as we agree with the sentiment of articles 1 and 2 - they simply don't go far enough for our satisfaction. |

Message | The party do not support article 1, however we do not completely oppose the bill. The IP support article 2. Massive funding on civil defense is needed to produce emergency provisions for citizens to use in case of a military attack or terrorist attack. And of course the removal of local governments in power. We have no stance on article 3. Overall the IP will support. Prime Minister Abraham James Zoratatt |

Message | Ladies and Gentlemen, the arguements that have been proposed here are valid in their own rights, but this bill is intended to be a stepping stone. Our party believes that government should stay out of people's business, but when it comes to protecting the citizens of this nation, we must stand up to protect our fellow countrymen. This bill will, when passed, help Rutania react quickly to attacks from terrorists as well as other nations, and it will help to tighten our nation's internal security without infringing on citizen's rights. This bill must be passed in order to provide base coverage for our nation, and further bills will help to polish the finished product, which will be a blueprint for many of our fellow freedom loving nations to follow. Lisa Konig- Chairman of the Party |
