MessageWe are currently running a deficit of over 4 billion. This is totally unacceptable, therefore We propose minor cuts in spending.

MessageWe support spending cuts, but feel that this spending bill has been ill prioritised. the areas of health and environment are very important, and we feel that there is absolutely no reason why the finance minister should need a budget of 12 billion. We will propose an alternative budget bill.

MessageWhile we support the cut in health and social services, the cut to environmental spending is unbearable. We see no reason why foreign affairs and defence deserve 12 billion each.

MessageActually, on further thought, we can understand the defence budget being where it is.
However, perhaps instead it would be best for internal affairs and foreign affairs to take the cut. What do internal affairs do anyways? And what is the foreign affairs ministry -spending- all that on?

MessageThe AAP will be supporting this budget proposal. However, this does not mean that we will oppose later legislation that alters the model set.

Personally, the AAP (despite heading the Foreign Ministry) would have been happier to see the Foreign Ministry taking a 'cut'... rather than the Health Ministry, for example. Of course, all that might change as the international politics 'climate' heats up.

MessageYou could simply have cute 11billion from the HoG spending, what a complete and utter waste.
