Message | This makes the system more regressive. We don't like regressive taxation. In the current code, the average Alorian pays 4 of their income for taxes. In this code, the average alorian pays about 15%. Worse still, while our system has the Alorian at the poverty level paying only 1%, this system has them paying 13% This system is terrible, and while more spending is appreciated, the incrediably regressive increase of taxation for the poor and working class well only make things worse. Perhaps deficit spending is needed to alleviate the depression. While I generally support a balanced budget, to help with the depression, we need to increase spending without increasing taxation of the average Alorian. Raising the average Alorian's taxes will only make the depression worse, but we need more spending so giving these conditions, I think a deficit is acceptable. |

Message | We should cut taxation on all fronts actually. |

Message | 10% of 500 is just 50 ALO. Not that much. Besides that, if people beneath the 'poverty' line wants to use Aloria's social security system and social services, this is a great contribution to that. Otherwise it's not paying taxes, but also paying the socia services they want by them self. |

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself. |
