We have to start spending again. Because of our cutting back, we have fallen from the 2nd wealthiest nation in Terra, to 8th. Alduria which has been following the Emperor's recovery plan has come from 18th to 9th. We must now do the same.

Let us use the extra cash to invest in new projects that need to be done and to help support the Union about to take place.

MessageNo, it is because of too much government spending that our economy cannot progress as much. Whatever money the government takes, it takes out of circulation and thus prevents it from being used by more lucrativ agents.

MessageADDENDUM: In addition, we were 8th place in GDP per capita, not in total GDP. In total GDP, we are 22nd place and have fallen because of the socialistic policies of many parties in the diet.

MessageWhy then when we were more socialist we were higher up.

Look at Alduria, they have taken the Emperor's plan and are sky high.

This should boost the needed areas and get us back on track again.

MessageOOC: There is a game glitch that makes GDP increase with deficit spending, nothing to do with reality.

IC: Luthori on a GDP basis was certainly not better off with high spending. Governemnt is not the answer! Government is wastefull and inefficient and any party that states otherwise clearly has a poor grasp of ecnomic concepts. It is a well known fact that socialism does not work.

State owned businesses are less efficient and more expensive than private ones. This economic proposal is madness, we should be cutting taxes and decreasing spending. The more money the government takes, the less money the people have.

MessageWe would also like to add that more spending will ultimately lead to inflation, the worse thing that can possibly happen to an economy. The Luthori people will have less spending power and prices will rise. This is always automaticaly linked with high spending.
