Message | I hope FFP has some good reasons to join this coalition. CCC and NDP have a majority together, so why is FFP included? And what does this cabinet want to change? Is there finally an agreement about our public finances? Does this cabinet mean the end of communist Ikradon? Or will FFP only agree because of the three ministers they may appoint? |

Message | The FFP may very well decline to serve. We hope that they will join the government, though. The Republic is bigger than one view or ideology. We were in favor of bringing the FFP into government ten years ago and we remain in favor now. The only difference is that now the political landscape has changed, making it more feasible to do so. As you say, the parties that are explicitly socialist or communist do continue to hold a majority. The FFP has endorsed capitalism in the past, but we have never considered the FFP's ideals incompatible with true communism. Certainly there is more than one way of viewing communism, so simply because we call ourselves communist and the FFP does not is not going to cause use to rule them out as a coalition partner. Terminology aside, the CCC will continue to promote a decentralized social transition toward a society whose economics is governed through community-based democracy, not individual fiat. With that goal in mind, the FFP's ideals are certainly closer to our own than, say, those of our outgoing coalition partners in the disbanded Bolshevik Party. |

Message | Ok, I understand that CCC wants to exceed the ideological divisions, I'm pleased about that. Though I don't understand why RD, NDP, CCC rejected time after time a cabinet which would go beyond the ideological cleavages when BF was included. Do I have to take this personal or do you prefer ruling with FFP because they don't ask for any reform? Right after the elections yesterday, I made some polls that could learn me a bit more about the election result. The first poll concerned the second choice of the CCCs voters. 47.3% of those who voted CCC have FFP as second choice; 26.9% BF; 18.5% RD and 7.3% NDP. The second poll concerned the second choice of the FFPs voters. 50.7% had CCC as second choice; 35.4% BF; 10.7% NDP and 3.2% RD. Further, a majority of NDPs voters (57.6%) had RD as second option and a majority of RDs voters (65.9%) had NDP as second option. After considering these figures, how could you defend a NDP-CCC-FFP coalition? |

Message | Quite simply, we rejected your coalition proposals because they did not represent the entirety of the Republic. Certainly, the FFP and BF agree with the CCC on many issues. However, a sizable number of Ikradonians disagree with the three of us on those issues. Are those citizens to be denied a voice in the Cabinet? The CCC has never advocated such one-sided governance. We would have liked the original coalition to have been less one-sided, and said as much at the time. Even so, we refused to replace one one-sided coalition with another. |

Message | Your answer makes no sense. You ruled with communists for decades, denying all the centre and right-wing Ikradonians. Saying that the CCC has never advocated a one-sided governance is insincere. |

Message | We accepted a seat at the table and tried to extend the same to the remaining parties. As I recall, our national unity cabinet proposal failed because BF rejected it. You do have the right to do so. Likewise, when you proposed a Cabinet which excluded all socialist parties other than ourselves, we exercised our prerogative and voted against. This is not "personal." We sought to include a center-right party in the government, and of the two, FFP is both larger and has been easier to work with in the past. If you wish to "take it personal," however, that is your right as well. |

Message | We will accept this for the time being--both in the interest of forming a working government and in expression of thanks for the CCC's gracious support of Jessye Coward's re-election efforts. |

Message | Well we hope 'for the time being' this cabinet will change some things. We hope the new NDP minister of Finance will propose a new budget bill on which the three coalition partners agree, that the most flagrant forms of communism will be removed from our legislation and that Ikradon finds its role on the international scene again. But if this coalition will do nothing, we understand why FFP is deemed easier to work with. It won't surprise us that this government won't do anything and that it is in fact a non-government. |
