Message | Following the "K"VP's vote on this issue, the BHV suggests it may wish to drop the first word of its name in the interests of electoral honesty. |

Message | Just because our party supports gay marriage does not mean we're not conservative. We've said MANY times before that there is not one type of conservatism as you seem to think. Our party is liberal conservative (look it up) and on average, liberal conservatives tend to be a bit liberal or moderate on social issues, while still maintaining conservatism on other issues and maybe a few social issues. Your party continues to attack us at every chance its gets citing this same complaint of us not being what you consider conservative. How about your party stops worrying about our party's ideology and actually debate about the actual issues at hand or just simply be quiet. |

Message | The Völker Partei doth protest too much. Pointing out that another party simply follows political expediency rather than having principles behind its decisions is a perfectly legitimate tactic in rhetoric, particularly when such a comment is true. Unlike the Völker Partei, the BHV is more than willing to debate the issues from its ideological standpoint. Its voting record demonstrates that it has one to begin with, and this fact makes such activity considerably easier. Furthermore, the Völker Partei's claim that the BHV is somehow only receptive to one brand of conservatism is false. While the BHV has supported some conservative measures to date, it has no truck with an all-encompassing conservative viewpoint. What the BHV stands for, in a nutshell, is principled commonsense. Given this stance, is it surprising that it finds itself arrayed against the unprincipled opportunism of the Völker Partei? The key difference between our two parties, as has been stated previously, is that the BHV intends to make Hulstria a better place. The Völker Partei, however, cannot seem to see past the next election. |

Random quote: Henceforth, the current system of first and second class stamps, where the rich can pay to have their mail delivered faster than the poor, shall be BANNED. There shall be only one class of mail delivery, and ALL mail shall travel at the SAME speed for EVERYBODY. There can be no class discrimination in the People's Post Office! There must be the SAME class of mail service FOR ALL! ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
