MessageAs far as we know, this Union has always been a Federal Republic. There is no need for this bill.

MessageYes, we agree. In order to recognize this, how about changing the name to the "Lodamun Federation" or something like that?

MessageI saw on the wiki page that Lodamun is a Union between five independent nations, so indeed, the name does not have to change, but the bill will make sure that we're not really a union between five nations, but rather one.

MessageWe would not agree to change the name of this great nation. The United Republics of Lodamun has been the name of this country for hundreds of years except for a brief period of time but that's another story.

I call on all parties to respect the tradition and history of this country. It deserves to be kept in mind at all times.

Our predecessors fought a brutal war more than 150 years ago in order to preserve this nation as the United Republics of Lodamun. We will always honor their sacrifice by pledging to oppose any actions towards changing the name of the Union.

The last point we will make is about why we have the name we have. This country has always been considered a Federal Republic. However, we have five territories, each named Republics. We always refer to this country as a Union, thus the name United Republics of Lodamun.

We hope that clears it all up.

MessageOOC: I want to make a request. DP, would you mind writing OOC when you are trying to make an out of context comment such as that one about the wiki? It would really help the debate flow much better and avoid any problems. Thanks!

MessageOur country is a Union of five different Republics or territories. They are not independent and they are under the rule of the national government. They have always been part of the Union and not separate countries (OOC: Think of the United States, same thing. States have autonomy but are under the rule of the national government).

Message(OOC: This is only a bill to confirm our status as a "U.S. like country" , however I checked with the Wiki page, and it said that It's a "Union between five INDEPENDENT Nations. The United Republics will not be changed to anything else by passing this bill, if it were to be changed, It would say so in the description.)
