Message | This will be a welcome change to what the NP proposed. |
Date | 12:33:54, October 14, 2005 CET | From | Democratic Labour Union | To | Debating the Intelligence Act of 2125 |
Message | Considering recent events we would be foolhardy to believe an intelligence agency to supplement and support our law enforcement agencies is not necessary. We welcome the suggestion by the JLP and would support this bill should it be brought to vote. |

Message | This is a step in the right direction, so I can support it. |

Message | The JLSP opposes. Spying on other sovereign countries can not be justified, and the creation of another agency to protect our organisations and citizens will create added layers of bureacracy. Counterintelligence we can see the benefit of, but we do not believe this merits the creation of another organisation. We reccomend instead that the powers to protect our people lie soley with the police force, even if this means broadening their operational objectives. This would also eliminate many problems of communication between seperate agencies (OOC: such as those seen in the CIA/FBI/military comms breakdown leading up to 9/11) |
