We, the Parliament of the United Republics of Lodamun, do hereby create the following positions:

Secretary of the Army- Nominated by the President, confirmed by a simple majority of votes present in Parliament. Civilian held position. Has authority over anything related to the Army such as funding, promotions/demotions, creation of new departments, etc. Has the authority to move resources as deemed necessary. Does not have the authority to move troops unless authorized by the Minister of Defense or the President. Does not hold command of the Army Chief and/or Vice Chief of Staff. Reports to the Minister of Defense and must follow the orders of the Minister of Defense. Only the President can relieve him off his post without the needed approval of Parliament.

Deputy Secretary of the Army- Nominate by the President, confirmed by a simple majority of votes present in Parliament. Civilian held position. Assistant to the Secretary of the Army. Performs the duties of the Secretary of the Army in his/her absence. Takes over as Acting Secretary if the Secretary is ill, resigns, or impeached and will remain Acting Secretary until a replacement is confirmed by Parliament. Reports to the Secretary of the Army. Only the President can relieve him off his post without the needed approval of Parliament.

Secretary of the Navy- Nominated by the President, confirmed by a simple majority of votes present in Parliament. Civilian held position. Reports to the Minister of Defense and must follow the orders of the Minister of Defense. Only the President can relieve him off his post without the needed approval of Parliament.

Deputy Secretary of the Marine Strike Force- Nominate by the President, confirmed by a simple majority of votes present in Parliament. Civilian held position. Assistant to the Secretary of the Marine Strike Force. Performs the duties of the Secretary of the Marine Strike Force in his/her absence. Takes over as Acting Secretary if the Secretary is ill, resigns, or impeached and will remain Acting Secretary until a replacement is confirmed by Parliament. Reports to the Secretary of the Marine Strike Force. Only the President can relieve him off his post without the needed approval of Parliament.


We, the Parliament of the United Republics of Lodamun, do hereby create the National Bureau of Investigations (NBI).

-The NBI shall have jurisdiction over any cases concerning national matters such as terrorism, drugs trafficking, and currency falsification. The NBI will also have jurisdiction over inter-Republic matters such as fugitives, etc. The NBI will be in charge of enforcing any and all laws passed by this Parliament. It does not have jurisdiction over local matters and is not in charge of enforcing local and/or regional laws; however, it must follow local laws where applicable.

-The NBI headquarters will be located in Port Andalay at the David Porter Building.

-The Director of the NBI shall be appointed by the President and confirmed by a majority of votes present in Parliament. The Director shall serve for a term of 15 years and cannot be removed unless by impeachment by Parliament. A person can only serve for a maximum of 2 terms consecutive or not. The Director reports to the National Security Advisor; however, only the President can issue orders to him/her/

-The Deputy Director of the NBI shall be appointed by the President and confirmed by a majority of votes present in Parliament. The Deputy Director shall assist the Director in the day to day operations of the bureau and any other tasks assigned by the Director. The Deputy Director shall become Acting Director upon the illness, resignation, or impeachment of the Director. The Deputy Director shall also become Acting Director if, when a term expires, Parliament has not confirmed anyone. The Deputy Director reports directly to the Director and can be relieved of his duties only by the President.

This is a Constitutional Amendment and requires a 2/3 majority of Parliament in order to be approved.
