Bill: Administration Reforms Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Nationalist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2126

Description[?]:

Likatonia only allows a party to propose a limited number of bills per year. We feel this encourages idleness and provides limited incentive to a party to put maximum effot in, we would like to see this quota raised drastically.

We propose changing the number of proposals to 20 a year, nearly a two a month. However the number of proposals that a party can 'stockpile' should also be raised, allowing a party to launch a set of proposals every other year, if that is what they choose to do.

Plus it will help new parties. 8 proposals a year, even proposed by all parties (ie 8 time x = 8x) means that it will be slow going for parties to break into the currnt four party block in terms of visibility.

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.

Random quote: "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo. Please use in that order." - Ed Howdershelt
