MessageThere is no official church for the Imperial Crownlands. While there is a national church, it is not the official one, and citizens are not required to join it. Also by Hulstrian law, people are able to take the option of being homeschooled, and if athiests (not even a dot on Hulstria's religious scene) don't like how this law is set up they are free to set up their own school system based on their teachings or choose to be schooled at home.

Regulations should not be set upon religion in the Crownlands.

MessagePrecisely, regulations should not be set upon religion. One of the largest that currently exists is "a school must be religious, no questions asked".

While the BHV cannot understand the conscious adoption of atheism, it would remain to be seen whether a school designed to teach atheist understandings of the world would be deemed "religious" by the relevant authorities. This proposal seeks to remove that potential confusion.

And regarding the "official church", that was a slip of the tongue on the part of the author of the bill.
