This bill is designed to curb violent crime (involving, but not limited to) firearms. Message | Absolutely not. This is a complete violation of the individual's right to purchase what he wishes and will only strengthen the black market for firearms, thus making such a bill counterproductive. The second article is no better, as the individual's right to privacy is grievously violated, and it opens the door for other violations to rise. For example, what is to stop our wonderful Solentia from becoming a panopticon, in which the Government solely exists to control the population both in body and in mind? Thus, we vote NO on this proposition. |

Message | A disgraceful argument against the peace and security of the people of our great nation! How dare the members of the Solentian Industrial Council presume to dictate that our law abiding citizens not have the protection from, murderers, poedophies and rapists that they deserve?!?!?! I encourage, nay i insist, that any other member of this house, with the safety and purity of our great nation and people in mind, vote to pass this bill and secure a safer future for everyone in The Federal Republic of Solentia! |
Date | 23:47:46, March 24, 2009 CET | From | Solentian Industrial Council | To | Debating the Public Protection Bill |
Message | "You cannot honestly believe that banning of firearms will completely cease the sale of them. A black market will open, an organized crime ring will grow and crime will ironically increase. This entire proposal will do nothing more than what I stated before, and I guarantee you'll still find guns in criminal hands." |
Date | 01:32:37, March 25, 2009 CET | From | National Socialist Party | To | Debating the Public Protection Bill |
Message | And as we begin to become a nation of intolerence towards all crimes, moreover violent crimes, we will see a reduction in crime. This policy is necessary for the protection of lives and human rights, only tyrannical monsters would be happy to promote the use of firearms. |
Date | 05:21:16, March 25, 2009 CET | From | National Zeus Party | To | Debating the Public Protection Bill |
Message | We agree with Article 2 but can not vote for Article 1. This would leave our people vulnerable to the whims of criminals and thugs. Those who commit crimes do not care about the legislation we pass that would prohibit the owning of guns. Our people must be able to protect themselves. |
