Bill: The Family-Friendly Adoption Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Rutanian Heritage Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2735
Description[?]:
The 'Rutanian Heritage Party' believe that the previous legislation allowing homosexuals to adopt is a malevolent attempt to recreate society and it's most integral, natural and time-honored assocation - the nuclear family. The 'RHP' also believe that the only environment in which a child can be ensured a healthy upbringing is in a family environment with both the masculine influence of a father and the feminine influence of a mother. If a child is raised by homosexual parents, they will not only be subject to bullying, potentially causing long-term mental scarring, but they are also likely to become homosexuals themselves, as the predispositions of their foster-parents inevitably influence their own behaviour and mentalities. The 'RHP' aim to repeal this program of social-engineering by disallowing homosexual couples the 'right' to adopt children. |

Message | Article 1 of this bill proposal is an acceptable measure. However Article 2 makes this bill interventionist and homophobic. The REP refuses to support this bill. Marianne de Spaak, MP of the Republican Elitist Party |
Date | 18:53:34, March 29, 2009 CET | From | Rutanian Restoration Party | To | Debating the The Family-Friendly Adoption Act |
Message | The OP agree with the REP, we can support Article 1, and we actually push for that proposal to be made separtately from Article 2. We cannot support Article 2. Homosexuals are people as well and deserve the same rights. Yes, we at the Orange Party do not embrace homosexuality, as our party is based on Christian doctrine. However, we also believe that people should have as many rights as possible and we believe that homosexuals are people as well. They deserve the right to have their own children, just like any other family. We don't like it, but there it is. -Thomas Wenzeslaus, Speaker, Orange Party |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
