Bill: "Destroy The Deficit" Budget Proposal of May 2733

Details

Submitted by[?]: Genuine Progress Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2734

Description[?]:

The Genuine Progress Alliance propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Democratic Republic of Aloria.

At this point, our current revenue is 242,409,388,393 ALO, and our current budget requires that we spend 417,500,000,000 ALO. Thus, we have a deficit of 175,090,611,607 ALO.

We need to cut down our budget so that we can eliminate the deficit. If we leave it as it is, our economy would be in danger and we would be in serious debt. All we need to do is practice conservative spending in our government and by using our financial resources on things that we need to spend on.

If infrastructures don't need to be built, then we don't build it. If we want to help other nations, we help them but not in high levels, because our people is our top priority.

At this point, we are taxing people so much already. Thus, raising taxes is not the way to remove the deficit. A budget cut, along with proper conservative spending, is what we need at this point in time.

MessageMinister of Finance Nancy Tamlin agrees that eventually the deficit should be "destroyed", but as of right now, Aloria is in a crisis, bot economic and militarily, and when we finally have defeated the challenges facing us, THEN we should cut the deficit. But to cut spending in the middle of a crisis is reckless. Tamlin, in fact, has already drawn up plans for a post war balanced budget.

I urge DemCOa to voye against this for the time being. Beside being reckless,it cuts Health to much and should have cut industry and foreign affairs more instead.

Also, GPA ignoes the fact that right now taxes are low, when compared to what they were before we cut them to the extreme to stimulate the economy. These taxes should also go back up as well to balance he budget, as not all of the difference should come from cutting the public's money.

MessageThough it was hard on our part to cut a large percentage of the budget allocated for Health, we had to do it in order to eliminate the deficit in the national budget. However, we are open to another adjustment in the budget so as to meet the APP's concerns.

MessageCurrently my Party holds the seats in HSS, Prime Minister and E.T.

We understand were the GPA is coming from but however, some of this need not to be cut or cut so big. Health was given to big of a cut and we can not risk that. Defense might be needed to cut but not that much.
