Bill: Anti Military Discrimination Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Democratic Party of Luthori

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2735

Description[?]:

The number one priority of all Governments is the protection of its citizens. We cannot afford to put restrictions on our efforts to protect our citizens purely based on outdated customs. We must pass this bill in order to fully defend our glorious state.

In another attempt to improve the efficiency of our military, we must also abolish the military service. It is entirely unnecessary and only throws untrained, innocent civilians into the middle of war. Untrained citizens are of no use except to provide even more targets for our enemies to shoot at.

Message"We support article 3 and possibly article 4, the party leadership must first meet to decide upon a course of action pertaining to the other articles but my guess is that we will have to oppose."

-Sir Dale Primo, League Vicemaster, head of the Geharon Conservatives

"We entirely support this bill, however, our conservative allies are in the majority of the party leadership, so we doubt that the League will support this bill."

-Isaac Stevenson, League Governor, head of the Homeland Libertarians

MessageWe are disappointed but in no way surprised that the CIL will oppose a bill which promotes the freedoms and rights of the citizens of Luthori. It is even more disappointing that discrimination at the hands of religious intolerance will damage the military capabilities of our nation. We will, nonetheless, put this bill to vote to prove to our citizens that we are committed to their rights, freedoms and safety.

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.
