Bill: Electoral Reform IV
Details
Submitted by[?]: Old School Liberal Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2126
Description[?]:
In yet another attempt to make elections more fair, we will once more introduce the idea of a pseudo-proportional algorithm for use in elections. While this will leave citizens of Hiamou and Paebus woefully underrepresented, it will be, as we said in the emergency version of this bill two years ago, better than nothing. It will also maintain an advantage in the smaller regions which, according to multiple parties, need to have more power than the proportional system would allow. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The method used to determine the number of seats each region receives in the national legislature.
Old value:: Equal representation, regardless of region population.
Current: Equal representation, regardless of region population.
Proposed: A pseudo-proportional algorithm that gives considerable advantage to smaller regions.
