Bill: Treaty Withdraw

Details

Submitted by[?]: Hizbul'quami al-Ijtima'i wa tahir'i

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2735

Description[?]:

It has come to our attention that the nations Aldegar and Cildania have withdrawn from their own treaties. Since the initators have withdrawn from the treaty and breached a mutual agreement between two nations, the treaties are null and void.

The relavent treaties may be found here:

http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=617
http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=431

We call for a withdraw from these treaties. Other treaties may, however, be ratified at a later time.

MessageThe treaties are not "null and void", they are merely unenforceable.

MessageWe signed the treaty and we must keep our word to the other signatories. Just because one party has withdrawn does not give us the right to break promises.

Random fact: Voters have an extra appreciation for bills that actually get passed, so if you want to maximally take profit from your votes, make sure you compromise with others.
