Bill: Victimless Crimes Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal Democratic Party of Luthori
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2735
Description[?]:
Luthori has a history of criminalising activities which don't really have any victim. Generally these laws are based on religious ignorance. The Liberal Democratic Party of Luthori wishes for a libertarian society, where the only things which are illegal are those which infringe on another persons rights or freedoms. Therefore we propose the following criminal acts to be legalised. We are not so naive to think that they will actually pass. We understand that a majority of the Imperial Diet is made up of old-fashioned religious bigots, but we feel it is our duty to provide an opposition to the discriminatory and unjust laws put in place by these people. |

Date | 16:10:16, April 02, 2009 CET | From | Constitutionalist Imperial League (IA) | To | Debating the Victimless Crimes Act |
Message | "This is quite short of outrageous coming from a party that is supposed to be allied with the League! To insult a large number oh high placed aristocrats including His Grace the Duke of Geharon is absolutely unacceptable. We immediately ask for an apology from the author of this bill. Never has any League member insulted a Liberal Democrat because of his or her political leening, we expect the same behaviour and absolute courtecy from the LDP. In addition, this is the second time that the conservatives have been insulted in such a way by the LDP." *Lord Edward Bane, CIL spokesperson sat down to the general applaud of conservative and League mps.* |

Message | The Liberal Democratic Party apologises for the harsh tone and unnecessary rudeness shown towards our allies at the Constitutional Imperial League. We guarantee our friends at the CIL that our Party Secretary responsible for the proposal of bills to the Imperial Diet will be stood down from his position. That being said, our sentiments still stand regarding the absolute necessity of this bill to improve the rights of citizens which have been unjustly taken from them. -LDP Chairman Jonathon Churchwood |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
