Bill: Decentralization of Charter School Policy
Details
Submitted by[?]: Old School Liberal Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2126
Description[?]:
In the eyes of many citizens, the present policy in education is most likely too friendly or not friendly enough to charter schools. In order to provide a fairer system of determining what level of involvement charter schools play in the educational establishment, we propose that their existence be regulated at a regional level, with a possibility of further devolution to sub-regional levels, so that the taxpayers' money funds charter schools as much or as little as the locals want it. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Charter school policy (free, privately run, publicly funded schools).
Old value:: Charter schools must be non-profit and have a specific focus.
Current: Charter schools must be non-profit and have a specific focus.
Proposed: Charter school funding, regulation, and development is left up to local governments.
