Bill: To End Religious Fascism

Details

Submitted by[?]: Muslim Association of Pontesi

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2736

Description[?]:

The irony of those who support imperialistic war against Beiteynu is that they claim to do so on the basis of 'liberating' our Pntek brothers. However, a simple look at demographics will tell you that the majority of the Pnteks residing in Beiteynu follow Terran Catholicism, and would be horrified to find themselves forced under the banner of the Anglican Church of Pontesi.

MessageAs the law have already been in places for several years and have yield a great result in cleaning the nation of zionist propaganda, we see no reason to change it.

And we will arrest all member of this non-existance Union for Schultzism which we can confirm does not exist in Pontesi.

MessageAs usual, the conflict with Beiteynu is used not just as an excuse for oppression, but as an excuse for the continuation of the conflict itself.

Zionism is not a religion. Enforcing the Church of Pontesi does not stop 'Zionist Propaganda', it justifies every opposition to the idea of Gran Tadraki. The Jews and there ways may not be perfect or desirable, but at least in Tadraki and Endlid the majority catholic Pntek population are free to practise their religion without fear of arrest.

MessageThe delegate from the Movement for a Just Peace is blinded by their desire for peace. Beiteynu have repeatedly continue to discriminate aganist catholic population by the using of Jewish flag over the entire nation, the name of "Jewish Homeland" that disregard the catholic population, and the creation of zionist statue in the area.

While we desire for peace, we see no connection between abondoning our belief that our religion should be teach to our childrens with the jewish occupation of Gran Tadraki.

MessageWe fail to see how inflicting a worse discrimination against our Catholic population is in any way part of a cause to regain Gran Tadraki. Give your average Tadraki Catholic the choice between living in a Jewish nation and having freedom of religion and living in Pontesi with no freedom of religion, and they'll choose Beiteynu every time.

And what has four centuries of threatening and declaring war brought to the Pntek population? Has discrimination against them been stopped? Have they been given peace and prosperity? Or has this sabre-rattling done nothing but radicalise the Jews, and turn them against us who threaten them with war? Indeed, has it not radicalised us, to the point where even internal policy can be dictated out of fear of the Jews?

Only a fool would look at the past failures and come to the conclusion that we should continue along the same path. Either we talk with Beiteynu, and work with them to give the Pntek population more autonomy, or we continue to make the population of Gran Tadrakis life worse with the current rhetoric acting as a Harbinger of death and destruction.

MessageThis policy, which had only been recently implemented have contribute majorly to the stop of rise of several "cults" such as the mysterious group lead by the Democratic Socialist Party of Beiteynu.

We have made several attempt to negotiate with Beiteynu and yet there government repeatedly refuse to come to a certain ground regarding the region of Gran Tadraki. As with the current government who have remain unresponsive toward our approach.

Regarding our history, you are disregarding several years of "peace" between the nations which result in even worse discrimination aganist population that is not just only Pntek, but also the squibble natives who are forces to abondone their belief long before us or gay and lesbian who have been strip of their right in relationship while we sit and do nothing. How would this failure during the time of peace led to any conclusion that taking no action is for the best?

We have for several times work with Beiteynu only to be betrayed after they recieved what they want. They have no honour, no respect, and no responsibility.

We are all for peace, but only if that peace does not come with our nation losing limbs and bloods to foreigners.

MessageThat is rather like hammering in a nail with a sledge-hammer. If we want to stop the rise of cults, target cults. Don't strip away religious freedom and outlaw the religion of our Catholic, Muslim and Jewish minorities.

It is not our job to speak for the Beiteynuese, however the Squibble natives have not had to deal with Beiteynuese rule for 40 years now, and presently laws for gays and lesbians do not seem that different from our own, with the exception obviously being that non-Anglican homosexuals are not forced into hiding. In our opinion Beiteynu must be made to work towards greater individual rights, in order to safeguard the Pntek population from the only technically illegal government discrimination.

You are correct to place "Peace" in quotations, as true peace is not something we have had with Beiteynu for centuries. All we have had is lulls in fighting. After Aytr we may have withdrawn but we did so only because the fight at the time was too bloody, not because we stopped claiming the land. Peace was never made, fighting was only suspended, and the threat of a new invasion over a weakened state continued Couple that with the rise of Islamism in Beiteynu, it is easy to see why the Jews remained radicalised.

After the next invasion and the Jakanian Peace Conference, while we may have technically recognised Beiteynuese sovereignty over Gran Tadraki, in practise we backed rebels within Beiteynu and even sent special forces into Beiteynu in an attempt to re-annex the region. By actively collaborating with liberal-minded groups to destroy the state, we marked liberal thought as an enemy of Beiteynu, and caused its death for nearly a century.

Additionally, the Black Movement would kill hundreds of Jews in Pontesi; all the while we were screaming for equal rights for Beiteynuese Pnteks!

Finally, we can look at the unilateral annexation of the protectorates, and tactic Pontesian support for the Crusades; of course such actions will drive extremists into power, since that is what they had been warning would happen!

The only example of active cooperation in recent history is that of the Ir Shalom Agreement. And as progress was made on it, what did we see happen? New civil liberties were granted and defence spending was cut- this in spite of fighting in the North East of Beiteynu.

It is interesting, then, that you would accuse Beiteynu of refusing to cooperate, when it is not them who have refused to sign up to the deal that was worked out at Ir Shalom.

We are not proposing doing nothing, we are proposing to work with the Beiteynuese. Either we continue along the same failed path, and kill tens of thousands in the process, or we make a genuine attempt to work with Beiteynu.
