Animals, as living beings, should be afforded the same consideration as the similar interests of human beings. This act will prevent animals from being used as clothing, research subjects, or entertainment, and hopefully also limit their usage as food. |

Message | Animals aren't sentient, they don't even know their self. Why should we not use them as our play things? Meat is delicious after all, and an integral part of a diet. |

Message | Animals are sentient. They are sentient enough to be able to communicate to each other, care for their offspring, and even follow directions from man. Animals such as apes, bonobos, and dolfins show a remarkable intelligence approaching that of a child, and more remarkably are capable of forming collectivist communities. |

Message | Oh that is absolutely right, with respect to certain primate species and dolphins. There is simply no way we should allow them to be killed, as they display sufficient sentience to be classed as intelligent creatures. Outside of that small category however, it's just good eating. |
