Bill: Income tax proposal of September 2736

Details

Submitted by[?]: Alorian Populist Party (DemCoa)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2737

Description[?]:

The Alorian Populist Party (DemCoa) propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Democratic Republic of Aloria.

The current tax code is too restrictive. This cuts taxes for everyone making it 10000+, it does not affect anyone making less then 5,000. The median income is around 4000-4,500.

Meanwhile, it implements taxation for those in between 5000 and 8,000. While the APP is reluctant to do this, it is neccessary to spread the burdens of taxation around more, as currently the 50% tax on income above 8,000 is to restrictive. This raises that half taxation level 5000 ALO, while eliminating the 60% tax.

It leaves every man free to choose the work he likes, to specialize in it, to trade his product for the products of others, and to go as far on the road of achievement as his ability and ambition will carry him." - Ayn Rand
