Date | 10:36:01, April 18, 2009 CET | From | Modern Revolutionary Socialist Party | To | Debating the Freedom of Car Ownership Act |
Message | We oppose. The car is one of the biggest sources of pollution in the world, currently we have all but eliminated that in the FSA, we can see no real reason why this should change. The freedom of choice of some would effect the freedoms and lives of others. |
Date | 08:27:17, April 19, 2009 CET | From | Federalist Minarcho-Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Freedom of Car Ownership Act |
Message | The FMCP would answer the claims of our honorable colleagues in the MRSP by saying that for too long has the automobile industry of the Free State of Athlorcaea been crippled by "pie-in-the-sky" initiatives by an already overbloated centralized state to answer the interests of some small interest groups. |
Date | 18:57:52, April 19, 2009 CET | From | Modern Revolutionary Socialist Party | To | Debating the Freedom of Car Ownership Act |
Message | The FMCP has listed a lot of cliches but no actual reasons. Cars are a huge form of pollution, the law as it stands protects the environment. Also, we have no information on the efficiency, availability and style of cars. There is no reason to believe that consumers or the industry want a change. If anything, manufacturers should support the use of renewable and environmentally friendly fuels as opposed to finite fossil fuels which will only last so long. It is better to deal with the problem of diminishing fossil fuels now then wait till it is absolutely necessary. |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
