Description[?]:
For years we've have lived under a partly freemarket regime in the energy sector. This has clearly turned out to be a total disaster. There are no investments in the networks, people who are just two days overdue on their bills get disconnected and we allow these companies to ask for outragious prices for the energy, while these companies face regular power outages and poor quality. The myth that free market competition would bring us better, cheaper and higher service energy has completely bursted. The Socialist Party proposes to endure this no longer and renationalise the energy companies, under workers control and management as to ensure high quality and cheaply available energy! We also propose a massive investment program into clean energy sources and upgrading our neglected power grid. We also propose to focus on real renewable energy sources and put a ban on nuclear power. - This bill is a second attempt to reform our energy sector, breflecting the new reality after the elections. |
