Message | Absolutely not. Kanjor has 279,415,761 people; active unemployment (which does not take into account those who have given up looking for a job) in Yewao is nearly 10%. We do not foresee any problem with the current legislation. This is too liberal of an agenda. Kanjor for the Kanjoriens! |

Message | Racism and discrimination against foreign nationals as well? You stated the convention for coaltion government, we are now calling upon a coalition vote - we are entitled to two more as this area falls within our mandate of Internal Affairs. Premier Stonemason |

Message | Does the coalition have a stance on this? |
Date | 00:51:31, April 28, 2009 CET | From | Parti Populiste Nationale de Kanjor | To | Debating the Immigration |
Message | The MRN is staunchly opposed to this for the same reasons that the PRK is. The nation has a surplus of workers, and foreign immigrants have no right to take the jobs that rightfully belong to the citizens of our nation. This is not racism; it is merely acting in the best interest of those that should be the most important to Kanjor -- it's natural born citizenry. |
Date | 00:59:43, April 28, 2009 CET | From | The Royal Union | To | Debating the Immigration |
Message | Yes but we know historically protectionism will not bolster our economy. |
Date | 02:28:57, April 28, 2009 CET | From | Parti Populiste Nationale de Kanjor | To | Debating the Immigration |
Message | Protectionism isn't what's at issue here; this is not a question of tariffs, but a question of the common labourer and his importance to the state. Are we to let non-Kanjoriens work for Kanjorien industries, even though there are more than enough Kanjoriens to perform the work? It is nonsensical. We are not responsible for foreigners, and neither should our companies be. It should be of prime importance that Kanjorien products are produced by Kanjorien hands. |
Date | 02:30:21, April 28, 2009 CET | From | Union Hosienne-Démocrate (UHD) | To | Debating the Immigration |
Message | You cannot hold a "coalition vote" given that you do not hold the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the MRN does. This proposal falls under Foreign Affairs (specifically "Foreign Policy") and not Internal Affairs. There is nothing racist about it. We do not care if the foreigners are Dundorfians or Lodami; they are NOT welcome here. |
