| Message | In a Signed Statement from the Foreign Minister of Zardugal: The Foreign Ministry was quite hesitate to give our approval of this measure as well. The questions raised are good ones and ones the Foreign Ministry weighed heavily. While on one hand this will increase the work of the foreign ministry by a near unbelievable amount. The other hand however presents itself in the guise of national security. At a meeting with the members of the Directorate it was argued and quite wisely that allowing any visitors into the nation given the current situation at hand in Terra would be unwise. As well it is not my view that this closes our nations borders at all. The way this measures is presented would only limit security measures upon nations that are not within reasonable control of themselves domestically or internationally. For instance, right now as the law stands a group of students could land at Belgae International Airport en route from Hobrazia; which is now solidly in the hands of Nova Terra. The risk here alone is enough to support this proposal to be frank. I've talked directly with the Director-General and he has given me full-authority to clarify this measure further. In so doing, I will be presenting a set of by-laws to be implemented with this proposition for the consideration of the Directorate. As it stands, the Foreign Ministry approves of this measure only in light of recent international situations of questionable intent. Furthermore, the nations laws still freely allow refugee's under certain circumstances. Anyone is able to claim nationality in the proud Federation of Zardugal; we should remind ourselves of these things despite such measures. As well, the alternatives to this proposal are not appealing in the least to the Foreign Ministry in respect to security measures. It's much more humane for the international community to cooperate further in travel in between our respective nations versus imposing invasive security checks upon them when they arrive.
