| This bill aims to remove the government of the responsibility to make telephone free to all. Private businesses will now take control of the telephone industry; however, the rates will be controlled by the government so as to prevent overpricing to Alorians. Telephones are within that thin line of luxury and necessity. It is necessary for the smooth flow of communication among individuals in many scenarios. However, some use the telephone for useless reasons, such as telephone chatting lasting for long hours and illegal transactions. Thus, it is illogical for the government to continue to fund telephone services when it is not always used for the right reasons and, in effect, cause a waste in government money. |
