Message | Local councils are no more democratically elected than mayors, and administration by committee is usually less effective than an administration that has a clear leadership. |

Message | Having a mayor puts power in the hands of one man. The regional councils we propose are more democratic, because each council will have smaller areas and population they are responsible for compared to the mayor. Under the system, a current city might be divided into several districts each governed by a council. That way, the ratio of people per council member will be much lower than the ratio of people per the supposedly democratically elected mayor. |

Message | To us that sounds like a whole lot more bureaucracy and many more councillors who will want to claim expenses. |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
