Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2757
Description[?]:
By allowing local governments to prohibit the selling of alcohol we do two things: 1)We encourage organised crime and drive money into the black market. 2)We force those who want to drink legally to drive to places where it is permitted thus degenerating the permitting areas. 3) Local Police Departments crowd their cells with people committing misdemeanors when they could be used for real criminals. 4) Force alcoholics to hide away their problem for fear of reprimand by the law. By legalising Alcohol we can tax it and take money away from the black market. We can also encourage alcoholics to come out and seek rehabilitation. |
