MessageI support this cabinet somewhat. As Finance Minister, I promise to restore fiscal sanity. Also, I suggest a bill nominating a new ambassador to the UNT as this cabinet does not include this. I'm not in favor of the First Party hold that post however given the actions of its former UNT ambassador (refusing to yield his post and return to Hobrazia as required by law).

MessageWe refute such claims, we would never expect a member of a party to return to a nation that would arrest and at that time probably have executed him. The former ambassador did not refuse to leave his position the UNT without him decided that he should remain, he had no involvement in that at all.

For the ambassador to the UNT we would again nominate Nico Neesam given his diplomatic credentials.

MessageThe former ambassador to the UNT, by leaving Hobrazia, forfeited any claim he may have had of representing the Hobrazian government.

MessageI agree with Partido Popular on this one. The former ambassador is a traitor acting against laws passed by the Imperium Congress at worst and a coward at best. Nico Neesam could learn something from Victoria Diggory who bravely stood against the old regime and was imprisoned.

The URP may be an insignificant party, but its ten votes are pretty important when the current majority holds a slim one vote lead. United Republicans vote their conscience and remain loyal to their beliefs above temporary political coalitions. I remind the Emperor that the URP cast the critical votes defeating the Nova Terran Unification Treaty and walked away from the "Fair Deal" that granted it complete power over Stormridge as a result. The URP will simply not vote for Nico Neesam.

Political oppression in Lodamun led the United Republics Party to flee Lodamun - the same country that granted Mr. Neesam refuge. While Lodamun remains a well known anti-democratic regime that has blockaded international waters in violation of international law and threatened Hobrazian interests worldwide, Mr. Neesam could only concern himself with holding on to his own UNT post and protecting his own butt.

Given the anti-Lodamese (Liberal Party) sentiment of my party, I would never support an ambassador beholden to that corrupt foreign regime. Why would I when I have confidence that the current CSD ambassador would continue to oppose Lodamese dominance in the UNT (even if not proactively).

MessageWe are not surprise by this stance against our candidate, he was dislikedfrom the outset by the former terrorist parties. How dare the URP accuse us of not standing up for the people, we need not remind them that many members of our party were persecuted and killed following bills they helped to pass. We were alone at one stage fighting for the rights of liberty and justice.

Nico Neesam served honourably as ambassador to the UNT. He carried out his duty. There is no evidence that he tried to cling to office. There isnothing he said on that regard, when removed by the terrorist government he was granted assylum as a death sentence hung over his head, what would be the point in returning to face a needless death, what would that serve, nothing.

Nico Neesam never fought to stay ambassador, he simply did not speak once deselected, he did not even speak when the UNT discussed who should be ambassador, he accepted the fact.

We will back our candidate and using threatening talk such as bringing down the government shows no loyality to anyone but yourselves. The UNT ambassador is not a tool to simple oppose your mindset that Lodamun is evil and dominant, it is to defend Hobrazian interest in Terra, to defend the people of this nation not your political ideology.

MessageChant away. Pointless chatter will not change our position that Neesam is indebted to a corrupt foreign regime. The URP will not vote for him.

MessageMight we suggest a more neutral Party take the position? As it would be unlikely that the URP would support a WSS!P representative, although such a member would likely do a sterling job, we would like to suggest that the CSP put forward a representative to speak for the UNT.
