Bill: The Armed Forces Act II (repeal)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Federalist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2762
Description[?]:
As we have previously stated, this repeal is a condition in our stance on entering government, if either of our two partners refuses to support it then all bets are off. We are however open to amendments on the landmine issue as long as the principle of civilian control of the military is respected. |

Message | We agreed with article 1 and 3, but disagreed with article 2. It's our firm belief that while women should have equal right to men that it's also important to notice the physical difference and that women may better served as medic, pilot, and other support position for both themself and the Imperial Armed Forces. |

Message | Would the DP be willing to accept gender-segregated units? That way, if a commander feels female troops are inadequate for a particular task they may not use them while at the same time undoing the indignity recently suffered by those female officers and NCOs in combat units who were effectively decommissioned on account of their gender. |

Message | What is wrong with openly Homosexual soldiers in our military? Our Militias have openly gay soldiers within the ranks, it has not affected their ability to fight or perform their duty to the party. |

Message | I understand that this bill supports our proud troops who choose a different path than others, I was directing my comment to the DP. |

Message | As a minister of defence, I must deny any report of decommissioning of Female officers and NCOS who had been in combat unit before. Most of them have been reassigned to others unit such as MP, Medic, and Intel. With regards to DMP, we believe that open homosexuality in the military may leads to dishonorable action by the group of soldiers in the future. While we accept their right and have fight for it in another bill, we don't want to destroy the honor of our armed forces. |

Message | That transfer is effectively a decommissioning for a soldier who has chosen a career as a frontline combat officer. May we ask bluntly, will the DP vote for this bill if it is amended to propose gender-segregated units? |

Message | "I feels that the federalist part misunderstood the term "decommissioning". Decommissioning is a general term for a formal process to remove something from active status. I must said that MP, medic, and intel are an active position and is a very important part of our armed forces and such things can't be considered as a decommisioning." Jonathan Carrick MP Minister of Defence "We will not vote to reinstated women to a combat positions as it will decrease the effectiveness of our armed forces and risked their life in battle." |

Message | In that case this bill and our coalition proposal are dead. |
