Description[?]:
All citizens of Beiteynu must serve in the military. Their service must not be replaced with civilian national service for the following reasons: 1) In times of war, they must be ready to defend our nation. In order to do so, they must be trained and only the military provides that training. 2) Although, civilian national service can bring many benefits to the population, there are always volunteers who are willing to perform the similar or same duties as those in civilian national service. 3) If serving in the civilian national service is an option instead of serving in the military, most citizens will choose to avoid harsh military life. Thus, there will be shortage in military manpower and we will need professional soldiers. Resulting in use of defense budget to pay for these soldier's income when they could be used to pay/purchase for better equipment/weapons. |

Message | We request that you alter this bill to allow us to draft. That way we will have the military when we need them, for example time of war or natural disasters. |

Message | That is also an option but that also does not differ from civilian national service. If our citizens serve in the military as proposed, they will help out in times of natural disasters and national emergency. Because we need our citizens to be prepared before the war starts, we need to train them. If we draft them when the war starts, there will be higher casualty rate because our citizens will be untrained/unprepared/disorganized for it. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
