They become religious adults at Bar/Bat Mitzvah. But there must be a difference between the religion and the state

MessageState of Israel is a Jewish State. That doesn't mean every law they have is in accordance with the Torah. Many nations cease(d) to exist because their law was totally governed by the religious law.
