Message | This bill leaves us in a quandry. Not regulating hiring policies allows businesses to introduce discriminatory hiring, whilst the current law forbids this. Banning any forms of positive discrimination takes away some of the employers choice in hiring, though does lean toward guaranteeing that those qualified for positions gain said positions on merit rather than any other feature... We will vote with advisment... |

Message | The current law is a form of discrimination. It's the government telling companies NOT to hire on the basis of race, gender, etc.. It's doing what the law intended to prevent. |

Message | "The current law is a form of discrimination. It's the government telling companies NOT to hire on the basis of race, gender, etc.." - Discriminatation is when you choose certain people over others. The only discrimination from the current law is against those less fit for the job! |
