Bill: Market Deregulation Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: People's Liberation Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2770

Description[?]:

Capitalism is the worst economic system, except for all the others. Government intervention simply does not work.

The government should be a servant of the people, not the people servants of the government. The government provides structure to chaos, but only the little bit of structure that is necessary.

MessageIf you left this for debate, and didn't concatenate proposals together, we would've voted for one. As it stands, we must oppose.

Some regulation, especially of financial markets, is beneficial. It causes increased investor confidence, which boosts investment in the country.

On the other hand, subsidies are almost universally a bad thing. We will abolish those.

Random fact: It is possible for a player to transfer ownership of a character or a royal house to another player. This should be done in a public way, such as on the Character Transfers thread, so that if a dispute arises in the future, Moderation can be pointed towards evidence of the transfer.
