Voting deadline: September 2780
Description[?]:
The Rutanian Heritage Party believes that, in order for the nation's military to be efficient and effective, the following reforms are necessary. The military should not become a catalyst for the social-engineering and ideological preferences of parties in government. It need not become a cross-section of society - its main concern should be with effectiveness and efficiency to provide adequate defence for Rutania. Women, who, by nature, are not endowed with the appropriate physiological and mental attributes to operate effectively in a state of warfare, should be limited in what roles they can fulfill in the military, in accordance with this natural predisposition. Additionally, there is no reason why the military should allow homosexuals into their ranks. Homosexuals will inevitably be attracted to the military for the wrong reasons, and will not only be destracted themselves by their own preferences, but will cause needless distraction to others. The military should not become the latest tool in the ideological agenda of those who seek to impose the abstract notion of 'equality' on society and all of its institutions, when, in fact, this notion is fallacious. By accepting and tolerating homosexuals in its ranks, the military has promoted a lifestyle that was traditionally considered perverse and morally detestable throughout most of the civilized world. The military is not an 'equal rights' activist organization - it is an organization aimed at the defence of Rutania and its people. It need not reflect the abstract, egalitarian ideologies of parties in government. In order for Rutania's military to remain strong and focussed for Rutania's national defence, these reforms are necessary. |

Message | We think that restrictions proposed by RHP are senseless. If woman or homosexual man posess all the necessary qualities to serve in army, why they shouldn't serve? Or do you think that no one Rutanian woman can serve in battle positions? We can't find any reason why womans and homosexuals should be discriminated in army apart from the religious prejudices of some radical conservative politicians from RHP. |
Date | 03:00:47, June 29, 2009 CET | From | Humanist Alliance | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | The Humanist Alliance believes in treating people equally and will not allow Rutania to be dragged back int othe dark ages. We are disgusted that such a matter has even been brought into question. |

Message | We cannot support Article 2 and we prefer the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy for homosexuality in the military. |

Message | If the PSLM and the HA could set aside their bleeding-heart, sanctimonious liberal act for a minute, they might be able to see the need for this legislation and the deep flaws in current policies. We ask the left-wing parties of this nation that they not blind-fold themselves with political correctness and false notions of compassion and 'equality'. By necessity, women are not endowed with the same physical strength and mental capacity as men - this is a physiological manifestation of their basic nature as nurturers, as opposed to men, who are hunters by nature. These natural predispositions have not changed since the dawn of mankind, though they have shown themselves in different forms. As for homosexuals in the military, this is a matter of common sense - homosexuals will inevitably be attracted to the military for the wrong reasons, and will be constantly distracted, as well as distracting others. If Rutania's military is to remain strong for our national defence, we cannot afford to allow unnecessary distractions. In the entire history of man, never has a civilization existed in which sexual practices deemed immoral and perverse by prevailing custom, culture or religion were not regulated or outlawed, and we have no reason to believe such a civilization could or should exist. |
Date | 01:45:45, June 30, 2009 CET | From | Humanist Alliance | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | The Humanist Alliance has faith that the honorable members of Rutania's parliament will see past the RHP's twisted, indoctrinated rhetoric and shoot down this discriminatory poilicy. |
