Message | "The Conservative Party opposes strongly any move by this body to raise taxation at this time. We do not feel that this is an appropriate time to be raising overall taxation and this makes little sense with the budget cuts that the Meritocrats are proposing." Roisin Ó Cinnéide, Shadow Secretary of State for Finance and Economics. |
Date | 21:36:48, June 29, 2009 CET | From | Republican Party | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of February 2779 |
Message | We agree with the Conservative and Morality Party, raising taxes will seriously hurt economic growth and prosperity. We need strong industrial growth, the budget for this year proposed by the Meritocratic Caucus is great, however, these tax increases on our citizens is a disgrace. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
