-----------------------------

Re-Integration of Democratic Values Act of 2780
Proposed By: Federal Independent Party
Introduction Explanation:
This Resolution would effectively revoke the bill "MC 04-2747 1: Peerage and Title" and strip any beneficiaries of the system set up by the legislation of their privileges and titles.

Section I: Senate Findings

Article 1) The Senate finds that under the current system, an unfair and undemocratic program designed to raise select citizens above one another is in place and is a regression of equality and democracy.

Article 2) The Senate finds that under the current system, a program is in place designed to benefit the elite, wealthy, government insiders, and corporate individuals for reasons without strong rationale or merit.

Article 3) The Senate finds that under the current system, the general citizenry is not in a position to benefit from the aforementioned legislation.

Section II: Revocation

Article 1) This bill shall upon passage immediately revoke the "MC 04-2747 1: Peerage and Title" law and override its status.

Article 2) This bill shall strip any citizen who has become the beneficiary of MC 04-2747 1: Peerage and Title of his/her title/status.

Section III:

Article 1) This Resolution requires at least half of all votes in the Senate in order to pass.

Article 2) This Resolution will take effect when passed and will remain as binding law until the Resolution is overturned by a piece of legislation specifically designed to reverse its effect. The overturning legislation will require 2/3 for this bill to be successfully overrided.

MessageWhy on earth would the FIP strip familes of their earned accolades? The peerages do not create a class of greater people in this nation. All are still equal under the law. The peerage system was designed to promote strong family traditions, and it has done so.

Furthermore, we will not give up our peerages, for the nation is great, but blood is greater, and we will not give up what is rightfully ours by the whim of a gaggle of illegitimate socialists.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols.
