| It has been requested on behalf of the Government of Cobura that the Zardic Armed Forces take up defensive positions on our shared borders with our allied neighbor. At current there are rogue factions within Cobura bent on bringing a fellow republic into full civil-war. It has long been the view of the F.R.P. and most within this government that the Republic of Cobura is not just an ally but, a friend. Our nations history have had their ups and downs with various rogue elements bringing our nations into conflict with one another. However, a new dawn is upon all of us in the Central-Majatran region. With the continued success of the Axis Alliance; what was once a sworn enemy to my party and this government is now without question one of our nations greatest allies. This is an opportunity of great magnitude in continuing to further heal the wounds of history. Accordingly, effective immediately I will be dispatching a special contingent of members of the Z.A.F. to the borders we share with Cobura; Egato and Irkawa and our States of both Ingomu and Kalvere. Our troops will work in coordination with the R.A.F.C. and the Government of Cobura in this task. We have been asked to detain any suspected P.M.U. terrorists and indeed we will. There will be no safe harbor in the Federation for rogue elements such as the P.M.U. I have communicated my orders to General Gould, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who has acted accordingly. The task-force assigned to this shall be henceforth known as Task-force Ally. Task-force Ally shall consist of three full divisions, effectively deploying 50,000 men and women of the Z.A.F. to Task-force Ally. General Gould has yet to confirm the full composition of the Task-Force however, when this is made clear I shall issue a special declaration unto the Directorate as to keep all Directors and citizens informed of the situation. | Message | OOC: Nope, our forces have been asked to merely ensure that the terrorists can't escape Cobura into Zardugal. We've been asked to arrest any suspects and thereby hand them over. This is a big problem inside Cobura but, it seems they've got in under control domestically. I don't foresee a need for our troops to cross over or theirs here, nope. Good question actually, probably should have worded that better. Bottom line is a fellow allied nation via treaties asked for a little buffer zone to ensure the rogues they are fighting can't escape over into our nation. Hey, I don't want them here either so, works out for both of our nations I guess. :-) |
