Description[?]:

Peerage Settlement Act 2788

An Act to make provision for the establishment of clear law regarding the issue and topic of Peerage and to make provision for the establishment of a clear policy of consensus on the same.

This Act was written in the year Twenty Seven Hundred and Eighty Eight and is proposed by Senator Abigail Raikkonen, Senator for Nukeya, Deputy Leader of the Solentian Centrists and Leader of the Movement for a Centrist Majority.

Be it enacted by the Supreme President's most Excellent and Lawful approval, by and with the advice and consent of the Senators elected and their peers appointed, in this present sovereign Senate assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows___

Article 1 ~ This Sovereign elected Senate confirms it’s belief that a system of reward for those who serve well their Federal Republic and Solentian people should remain in place.

Article 2 ~ This Sovereign elected Senate upholds and recognises the same systematic hierarchy of rank established by the senatorially approved MC 04-2747 1: Peerage and Titles.

Article 3 ~ This Sovereign elected Senate does not recognise however any special privilege that those titles may give and justly advises that the Official Solentian Heroes legislation be used in it’s place.

Article 4 ~ This Sovereign elected Senate shall not punish those who choose not to use the titles and peerages established by the senatorially approved MC 04-2747 1: Peerage and Titles nor shall it force Supreme Presidential Administrations to use the titles in official documentation.

Article 5 ~ This Sovereign elected Senate shall recognise peerage but shall not enforce it as an obligation; children who inherit titles may be prevented from using their titles until the age of 21 by their guardians as a matter of child protection.

Article 6 ~ This Act is legal and binding legislation and shall pass with a majority of the Senate voting in the affirmative.

Article 7 ~ This Act can be overturned by a 2/3rds majority of the Senate voting in the affirmative in a vote specifically designed to remove it.

Random fact: Particracy does not allow official national flags of real-life nations or flags which are very prominent and recognisable (eg. the flags of the European Union, the United Nations, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union or the Confederate States of America).
