Bill: Economy
Details
Submitted by[?]: Party of the Pro-Kalopian Dynasty
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2794
Description[?]:
Article One: In the latest opinion poll, this was one of the most voted options. And remember, it's what the people want, for the People's Republic of Kafuristan. Article Two: Why would one who manufactures toothpaste strike and not work for one who mines coal? It makes no sense at all. Article Three: Why are we paying our workers more then they need? If they need money, we'll be there to give it to them, but they shouldn't be able to take advantage of us, and just take our money away. Article Four: We don't need perverted males to continue purchasing pornographic more then anything else. If we step in a bit, it could curb our economy in our favor. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy with respect to the production of pornography.
Old value:: The production of pornography is treated as any other business.
Current: Pornography may not be produced in the nation.
Proposed: The production of pornography is legal, but regulated.
Article 2
Proposal[?] to change Secondary strike action.
Old value:: Any trade union can go on a sympathy strike in support of other striking workers.
Current: Secondary strike action is illegal. Workers and unions can only go on strike for their own pay and conditions.
Proposed: Only closely related trade unions can walk out on a sympathy strike in support of other striking workers.

Message | Article 1 is absolutely unnacceptable and is an attack on the institutions of the communist state. It must be removed, or we cannot exclude the possibility of criminal charges. Article 2 is an unnacceptable abrogation of the rights of our partners in labour, and article 3 is inhumane and therefore goes against socialism. Article 4 is the only article we are prepared to accept. |

Message | Article one: What if the povery line reaches to be that only the people above it, are such luxurious people with wealth and riches, and not everyday people like it should be? How are we supposed to afford that? But, if we follow my proposal, then we'll be able to give people the amount of money they need. Article two: Article two won't be that regulated, just to an extent that it doesn't exceed in profits more then any other industry, if you see what I mean. Article three: Yes, but it makes sense. Why should one company, industry, fail, because another one is treating it's worker's unfairly? That could clearly wreck our whole economy. OOC: Sorry aobut the descreption, screwed up the articles. |

Message | Article 1 cannot be accepted. Communism was instituted so that everyone would be able to live off the fruits of their labour, and recognition that if you worked a proper job, you should be able to live off the wage you are payed. It simply goes against our principles as communists. Same thing with the DWC's. We refuse to return to the days where an all-powerful boss could dictate what he wanted to his workers, and they would just be expected to follow. Its their factory too, is it not a basic right of theirs to have a say in the place they have to work everyday? We understand your union article though. If you kept just the pornography and union articles, we could support. A general strike could indeed damage the stability of the state. |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
