Bill: Terms of Extradion

Details

Submitted by[?]: Imperial Malivian Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2130

Description[?]:

Extradion to countries practicing capital punishment should be allowed. However this should only take place in the case of terrorist and those who have committed crimes against humanity. We must except that capital punishment is often an accepted form of punishment in other countries and we can't do anything to change that. If we judge whether or not we will extradite based on whether or not a country practices capital punishment we will start running into problems. Terrorists will come to our border looking for a safe haven and since we have an open door policy toward refugees they can walk right in without the fear of being tried for their crimes.

MessageMost nations, including our immediate neighbours, don't allow extradition to countries with the death penalty, so the ORP's claim that our policy will attract terrorists to Malivia is ludicrous.
