Message | We see no reason that a woman should not be able to obtain an abortion for any reason. It is not the place of the government to decide what is the right thing for someone's body. This decision is between a woman and her doctor. |
Date | 07:16:00, October 22, 2005 CET | From | New Aldurian Conservative Party | To | Debating the Abortion Reform Bill |
Message | There is such a thing as a right to life, something which this party believes in very strongly. Seeing as your party did sign the Global Emancipation Treaty, one would expect that your party would not view the unborn child as the mother's property, to do with as she pleased. |

Message | There is no reason to argue about this, as it would only echo hundreds of arguments that have already been heald elsewhere. It suffices to say that this bill will not pass. |

Message | Understood. Shall we move it to a vote, then, or provide more time for commentary, given the likely tenor of said commentary? |

Message | I suppose an exception can be made this time, to avoid a needless argument over this issue. Put the bill up to vote. |

Message | We will oppose. Our party could agree with a limited ban, if there is provisions to protect the mother's health, to protect babies that can survive on their own. Embrios aren't human being. Yes, its a form of life, and we must respect it as any other form of live, but we should enforce education campain to promote contraception instead of proposing bills that deny the fundamental human right to dispose of himself. |

Message | Please do not argue about this bill. Be sensible and realise that you will never be able to change anyone else's stance on such a controversial issue. Just leave it alone. |
