MessageThe LP agrees on principle. It does feel, however that local governments should have a say on the conditions in which the consumption happens in public spaces. Surely we cannot have kindergarten teachers smoking crack in front of their classes during field trips, or people shooting heroin outside schools. We could support this bill if it included an addendum stating "There are no laws regulating what citizens can put into their bodies within private spaces in which all involved or present are adult and willing participants, subject to the consent of the proprietor."
