| Message | Monsieur le Haut-Conseiller, This bill is not only an insult to our traditions, but also to the people who elected us to office. The monarchy is an institution that is beloved by the people and brings a certain aspect of non-partisanship to Government. As well, the second proposal in this bill is not ridiculous, but is a slap in the face to our citizens. We are a highly industrialized nation with our largest sectors being manufacturing and financial services. We are a nation of middle class folk, and not of the peasantry. Therefore, renaming this state, "République Paysanne de Rildanor et du Noumonde" or the "Peasant Republic of Rildanor and Noumonde" is an insult to the people's intelligence and to generations of Rildanoriens that build this country and our high advance economy. I urge our coalition partner, Démocrates Rildanoriens, to vote against this bill. Vive Le Roi! Merci. |
